Abstract

The agronomic behavior of 30 rice varieties was
studied in Los Palacios location, which were seeded according
to a randomized complete design with four replications.
Agronomic and morphological characters were evaluated in
this study. The data were subjected to Main Component, Cluster
and Discriminant Analyses. Results showed the existence
of strong correlations between full grains per panicle and
1000-grain weight with yield. The varieties were grouped in
seven classes, to highlight INCA LP-2 variety from VII class
for its yield followed by II class varieties. The correct
classification of varieties was confirmed.
