Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility Policy (IDEIA)
At the journal, we are committed to promoting Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (IDEIA) at all stages of our editorial process. We recognize that science and knowledge advance when diverse perspectives are included, equitable opportunities are guaranteed, and barriers to the participation of all people are removed, regardless of their origin, identity or condition.
1. Diversity
We encourage the participation of people with different backgrounds, nationalities, genders, sexual orientations, ethnicities, cultures, disabilities and academic trajectories. We strive to ensure that our publications reflect the plurality of voices and approaches in the scientific community.
2. Equity
We are committed to providing a fair and bias-free editorial process. We implement mechanisms to ensure that all people have equal opportunities to contribute and be recognized in our journal, without discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status or other personal characteristics.
3. Inclusion
We foster an environment where all people feel welcome and valued. This includes promoting diverse editorial teams, reviewers and authors, as well as adopting practices that reduce structural barriers in scientific publishing.
4. Accessibility
We are committed to ensuring that our content is accessible to all people, including those with disabilities. This involves using accessible formats, complying with accessibility standards on our digital platform and designing processes that allow for the equal participation of people with specific needs.
5. Implementation and Monitoring
To comply with this policy:
- Diverse representation is encouraged in the editorial team and in the selection of reviewers.
- The use of inclusive language in articles and scientific communications is promoted.
- The effectiveness of our IDEIA practices is periodically evaluated and will be adjusted as necessary.
- Suggestions and concerns about equity and inclusion are received and addressed in our editorial process.
With this policy, the journal reaffirms its commitment to building a more diverse, equitable, inclusive and accessible editorial space, where scientific knowledge can thrive without barriers.
