Abstract

In 2005, the monthly behavior of the mid-cycle
rice variety INCA LP-4 was studied on a Hydromorphic Nodular
Gley Petropheric soil with a randomized block design at ??Los
Palacios? Rice Research Station. Thus, agricultural yield and
other characters were evaluated, in order to know varietal
response seeded at different times; the information recorded
was processed by means of a Two-way Classification Variance
analysis whereas differences between means were docimated
according to Duncan´s Multiple Range test for p?0.05. The
best behavior was observed in January and February sowings,
when plants reached the characteristic height of a mid-cycle
variety; agricultural yield and its components were the best as
well as industrial quality, which is recommended to be seeded
during these months.
