Abstract

The tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV) is
one of the most dangerous Begomovirus affecting tomato
productions in Cuba. At present, several genes related to
resistance have been described. Ty-1, Ty-2 and Ty-3 are the
most widely used genes in plant breeding programs. In Cuba,
there is only one Ty-1 gene-carrier called Vyta. This work
identified the presence of the band related to Ty-2 gene resistant
pattern in two characterized materials. For Ty-3 gene, all
genotypes showed the susceptible pattern.
