Abstract

The Dendrobium, are among the most cultivated
orchids worldwide. It is sold as a cut flower, in vitro material and
potter. Dendrobium cultivars sold in this manner and are placed as
the fourth most sold among floricultural products, after the Palms,
Dracaena and Anthurium. This scientific note shows the main
characteristics of a new cultivar of Dendrobium. «Bohemia Havana»
is the result of cross pollination between Dendrobium aphyllum (Roxb)
CEC Fisch (syn. Den. pierardii) and Dendrobium loddigesii Rolfe. Is
registered in the database of the Royal Horticultural Society of England,
in Orchids Review Supplement 118 (1291): 62 September 2010.
