Short communication Effect of foliar sprayings of Pectimorf and Biobras-16 on two orchid species (Cattleya leuddemanniana and Guarianthe skinneri)

Abstract
objective of evaluating the effect of foliar sprayings of two
national substances, PECTIMORF and BIOBRAS-16, on two
orchid species from Cattleya genus. The experiment was
conducted in El Cotorro, Havana city, from 2002 to 2004. A
direct foliar spraying was applied to the plant in the morning
(10:00 am), at the same concentrations, 0.5 mg.L-1 PECTIMORF
and 0.05 mg.L-1 BIOBRAS-16, besides the control (foliar
spraying with water) at 30 and 60 days, up to a total of 24 and
12 foliar sprayings for two years respectively. At the end of
the experiment, the total number of pseudobulbs and roots
was evaluated, also considering plant color, flowering time
