Abstract

This experiment was conducted on a ferruginous
Nodular Gley Hidromorphic soil from ??Los Palacios? Rice
Research Station, using 1 x 1 m pots within 2000-2001 poorly-
rainy and 2001 rainy seasons. INCA LP-2 variety was studied
in a randomized complete design with four treatments and four
replicates, which were from flooding for 48 hours up to soil
field capacity; the highest germination percentage from 96 to
100 % was recorded with soil field capacity, these values
corresponding to the biggest agricultural yields obtained.
