Influence of climatic factors on some morphoagronomical variables of onion (Allium cepa, L.) bulb production in the eastern region of Cuba
Main Article Content
Abstract
from the eastern region of Cuba for three years. The experiments
were developed on an Eutric Loose Red Ferralitic soil and a
non-Carbonate Loose Brown soil. Plots were made up by five
furrows of 5.0 m long and 4,5 m wide, distributed in a randomized
block design with four replicates. The variables commercial
yield, bulb weight, total yield, first-class bulbs, number of leaves
per plant and number of tunics per bulb were evaluated. The
most influencing climatic factors were temperature and rainfall.
