Abstract

Many are the benefits that flowers offer to the
atmosphere and many are also the species of flowers and
ornamentals that delight us in the world market. Gerbera has
remained during the last decades as cut flower preference. In
Cuba, its cultivation is easily adaptable to a wide
agroecosystem range. However, there are still many doubts
to get flowers of quality. In the following work, there are some
results and current considerations in this respect, which
demonstrated that Gerbera jamesonii is cultivated in different
latitudes of the world and that with an appropriate crop
management, high yields and flowers of excellent quality are
