Abstract

A group of studies was carried out on a
compacted Red Ferralitic soil, with the aim of evaluating the
influence of inoculation frequency with arbuscular mycorrhizal
fungi (AMF) on rizobacteria population and its effect on yield
of diverse crop sequences. Therefore, four field experiments
were developed in a randomized block design repeated during
two years; three different crops were alternated, taking into
account root system characteristics, crop extractions and soil
dry matter as well as nutrient aportation. Results showed that
rhizobacteria populations increased with a more frequent
mycorrhizal application and decreased when different crops
declined in sequences. The greatest efficient combinations of
inoculated microorganisms was achieved when inoculating at
least the two first crops within sequences, also increasing
yield.
