Abstract

Roses (Rosa sp) are among the most appreciated
plants in the world, both in gardening and in the cut flower
sector. This article shows the most recent results of the world,
in relation to the application of in vitro tissue culture
propagation of different species and varieties of roses.
Nowadays, the culture of buds and shoots, calluses and nods
are among the most used techniques. In general, modern
shrubs are the most propagated roses, although the miniature
potted roses still represent a wide area of investigation.
