Evaluation of rice (Oryza sativa L.) varieties for spring season in Pinar del Río
Main Article Content
Abstract
rice promising varieties were evaluated in spring season, which
were seeded according to a Randomized Complete design with
three replications and a group of traits were measured. Data
were subjected to Variance Analysis and Main Components.
Results showed the existence of strong correlations between
yield and panicles per square meter, also between yield and
height. Furthermore, the discrimination degree of all variables
studied was determined. The varieties were collected in five
groups and those from groups I and II had a better agronomic
behaviour.
