Abstract

The present work had the objective of evaluating
the effect of applying biopreparations as rooting promoters
of rooted layers in Ficus plantations at ??El Chico? farm,
Tropiflora Enterprise, Ministry of Agriculture during 2002 and
2003. Ficus varieties used were Golden King, Nítida and Exótica
from Ficus benjamina group (important economic species);
treatments were: BIOSTAN, RIZOBAC and PECTIMORF
concentration of 20 mg.L-1 and RHIZOPON-B (0,1 %) as control.
The variables evaluated were number of roots, uniform,
bulk, root length and diameter. Results showed that the
compounds were effective to rooting and presented differences
on the answer of all varieties evaluated. It demonstrated the
feasibility of employing PECTIMORF as rooting promoter of
rooted layer and to give the posibility of substituting this
hormone of importation by national production compounds.
