Economic evaluation of different chemical formulations in potato crop (Solanum tuberosum L.) on a Red Ferralitic soil from Havana province
Main Article Content
Abstract
extension service were conducted with the objective of
studying the effect of different chemical fertilizer formulations
on potato crop in different Red Ferralitic soils from Havana
province during the 1999-2001 period. A high response was
recorded in potato growth, yield and its components when the
new formulations were applied. The highest yields were
obtained with the complex formulas of Chilean nitrate (applied
to plantation) and single nitrates (N-0-K applied 30 days after
plantation). The best formulas were 14-20-20-2-2 in plantation
and 15-0-14, 30 days after plantation, increasing yields over
the production variant of 14.67 t.ha-1 (total yield), 13.75 t.ha-1
(commercial yield, Cuban pattern), and 18.45 t.ha-1 (commercial
yield, international pattern). Under production conditions,
increases of 2.29 t.ha-1 were recorded.
