Effect of a mycorrhizal inoculum on established orchid plants in different locations

Abstract

This experiment was carried out with the
objective of evaluating the effect of an incoulum made up of
Rhizoctonia solani upon five established orchid species from
different genera, at three private producers�?? locations of
Havana city. Inoculation was performed every three months
for a year, evaluating the following variables at the beginning
and the end of the experiment: number of berries, new roots
and shoots. A significant increase was observed in all variables
analyzed, plant and flower color was better. Also, it was
appreciated that Cattleya species was able to flower out of
season.
