Abstract

Different nutrient relationships with N, P and K and the inoculation with two arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi-AMF-strains (G. clarum and G. fasciculatum), as sources of nutrient supply applied alone or combined under field conditions, were evaluated according to crop yield enhancement and nutrient absorption. Crop yield, nutrient
absorption and AMF colonization were evaluated. Results indicate that AMF inoculation influenced positively plant nutrient contents. The fungal variable arbuscular endophyte showed the best determination coefficients and, hence, the best foliar contents. These results showed that an efficient functioning of mycorrhizal symbiosis plays an important role in the enhancement of mineral nutrient absorption.
