Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze the answer of leaf explants from A. cubense vitroplants in presence of several doses of growth regulators with the purpose of favoring the indirect organogenesis as an alternative method of reproduction via in vitro cultivated seeds. The formation of a white callus mass was observed two months after sowing under darkness; after subculture to a medium containing 4.7 µM Pectimorf, a regeneration rate of up to 17 buds per explant was possible, it suggesting the power of this bioregulator. Likewise, a very favorable behavior of vitroplants was recorded during the phase of acclimatization, achieving more than 90 % vitroplants with a good vegetative vigor.
