Short communication Regrowth, a way to increase rice (Oryza sativa L.) yield and grain quality

Abstract
Rice Research Station, during the period between 1995 and
2000, in order to know the regrowth effect on grain quality and
yield using the mid-cycle rice variety IR-1529 employed by
small farmers. Results showed that, yields of the treatments in
which cuttings of 2 and 4 cm were accomplished, represent
between 77 and 85 % of the first crop yield (check). The entire
grain percentage and number of fertile stalks had a similar
behavior.
