Abstract

The common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) is
fundamental in cubans meals, but 60 000 tons are imported
yearly. Our government has been created programs to augment
the national production of this legume. Substitution of
importations by the production and commercialization of natural
products that lead the increment of yield are been created. In
this work it is evaluated the effect of the Biobras-16 (BB-16) in
the growth and yield of black beans variety Tomeguín 93, spray
to seeds or to leaves. Two experiments were performed, at the
first, 15 kg of seeds were sprayed with 150 mL of BB-16
(0,5 mg.L-1) and after 24-48 hours the seeds were sown with a
control treatment, and at the second it was sprayed the leaves
with a total doses of BB-16 equivalent to 20 mg.ha-1 in one time
(flowering stage) and two times (plant growth and flowering
stages). The result shows that foliar spray effectiveness in
two times in the stimulation of the valuables studies: stem
length, sheaths length, number of sheaths and grains, except
the 100 grains mass average. It was obtained an increase in
37,7 and 61,3 % in the grains mass average per plant, for one
and two times, respectively. This result has great importance
in the scientist and economic ambits, and for the future possible
application of BB-16 in the production.
