Main Article Content
Abstract
crop in the cold zones from Asia, Europe and America,
undoubtedly, a favourable environment for its development
has been found under the tropical climate conditions existing
in Cuba, which could be attributable among other factors to
obtain new adaptable varieties to several environments. This
approach is confirmed by the results from Cuban vine growers,
who have obtained competitive yields for more than 10 years
compared with those reported in several regions of the world
with a real grape crop tradition. The present research work
shows the practical experience accumulated by some Cuban
agricultural producers. The present paper also shows the
technology used by producers, a brief record of the main
varieties that are in the country, their yields and an analysis of
the main grape crop difficulties in Cuba, as well as some
possible alternatives guided to substitute chemical products
by Cuban natural products without damages to human being
and the environment.
