Abstract

An experiment was carried out in Holguín at 1994-1995 and 1995-1996 seasons, using different tomato (Lycopersicon sculentum, Mill) varieties from the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences and «Liliana Dimitrova» Horticultural Research Institute. Plant height, canopy diameter, yield and its components were evaluated. The best results were obtained by Mariela y Amalia varieties compared to the check variety Campbell-28; therefore, they are recommended to be planted under similar edaphoclimatical conditions to those tested.
