Stability index evaluation in agricultural ecosystems
Main Article Content
Abstract
aspects of the stability index in agricultural ecosystems, with
the aim of validating its application according to the climatic
change, food and nutritional security, besides proving the general
ecosystem contribution. The proposal includes and
evaluates physical properties, elements of agricultural and
forest diversity, as well as energy performance. The proposed
indexes were calculated after recording some measurements in
10 small producers´ farms from Pinar del Río. Results show the
built up index constitutes a useful tool for providing agricultural
ecosystems to mitigate greenhouse gases, food and nutritional
security; also, these ecosystems are very far from achieving
significant contributions to the proposed objectives.
