Report of new varieties �??Vietnamita�??, a high plant protection quality and good yield potential garlic (Allium sativum L.) clone

Abstract
farmers of Havana, where different genotypes were selected
for its yield. The main characteristics of �??Vietnamita�?? clone are
presented, which was introduced in Cuba in the decade of the 80�??s,
freed from virus and rejuvenated through tissue culture technique. It
showed a good behavior to the main pests and diseases affecting this
crop and a nice seed quality as well as a high yield potential.
