Behavior of relative water content and photosynthetic pigment concentration of wheat varieties growing under salinity conditions

Abstract
de agua (CRA) y la concentración de pigmentos
fotosintéticos en condiciones de salinidad en los estadios de
plántulas y en la floración, en variedades de trigo (Triticum
aestivum y T. durum) obtenidas y/o seleccionadas en Cuba.
Los resultados indicaron diferencias significativas en el CRA
en los dos estadios analizados, siendo las mayores disminuciones
de sus valores el estadio de floración, mientras que la
transpiración de las hojas y la concentración de pigmentos
disminuyó significativamente en ambos estadios, en dependencia
del grado de tolerancia varietal. Las variedades de trigo
harinero (T. aestivum) INIFAT RM-32, INIFAT RM-29,
INIFAT RM-37, INIFAT RM-36 e INIFATRM-26 presentaron
las menores afectaciones en las variables evaluadas, indicando
la superioridad de esta especie en cuanto a la tolerancia al
estrés salino.
