Review Extensionism in Cuba: case studies

Abstract

Cuba coexist in many and varied forms of extension with the mission of contributing to the development of competitive and sustainable forms of production, which is an objective of working in the field of economic and social development. Based on this concept, the overall objective of this research was to analyze some of the extension forms that exist in Cuba. The critical analysis of the theoretical foundations correctly identified the lack of an agricultural extension model according to the needs of Cuban agriculture, for which suggests a reciprocal training process, which helps to acquire the knowledge to understand why and how the use and management of extension forms practiced in the country. Research centers in the country, extension perform different actions that respond to various programs and projects, but responsiveness still fails to solve the problems that arise in the manufacturing sector according to their requirements.
