Main Article Content
Abstract
Cubanacán, Agricola Vueltabajo and Caribe farms, belonging
to ??Los Palacios? Rice Agroindustrial Complex in Pinar del Río
province, where four rice commercial varieties were evaluated
(J-104, Reforma, INCA LP-5 and IAC-25), with the objective to
analyze their behavior under different fertility conditions,
during two seasons corresponding to 2001-2002 and 2002-
2003 cold season. The data matrix obtained [(farm-genotypeseason)
x variables] was processed through different
multivariate techniques. After accomplishing the analysis, it
was concluded that in Cubanacán farm, four varieties had a
good behavior regarding the studied characters and in Caribe,
Reforma variety did not reach the best results. The variety
INCA LP-5 had a good response, independently of the place
where it was sown; IAC-25 showed high values of full grains
per panicle and 1 000 grain-weight, as well as the smallest
quantity of vain grains per panicle when it was sown in Agrícola
Vueltabajo and J-104 was always included in the best
classes, although it was benefited with respect to sowing date.
