Abstract

A field experiment was conducted in a compacted Red Ferralitic soil for two years, with the objective of studying the application times of a bioproduct based on Azospirillum brasilense Sp-7 in tomato crop. The work was carried out in two stages: nursery phase and growth-development phase, having a total of five treatments with a randomized complete design at the nursery phase and a randomized block design at transplanting phase. Results showed a positive answer to this rhizobacterial inoculation combined with nitrogen fertilizer as observed by plant vigor and yield. From the point of view of handling viability of the product as well as its economic feasibility, inoculation at sowing time turned out to be the most advantageous.
