Short communication Interspecific response to salinity in two species of Triticum

Abstract
growth periods in two species from Triticum (T. aestivum and
T. durum) under laboratory conditions, based on seed water
absorption, growth, fresh and dry matter accumulation was
evaluated. Results showed significative differences between
species and varieties from the same species, standing out the
varieties from T. aestivum species, that showed the highest
salt-tolerance degree at the early periods of seedling growth.
